Process for Change of Title of a Degree Program
- Changes in title of a degree program usually are initiated by faculty in
an academic unit.
- Following review of the proposed change in a manner consistent with
local campus policies and procedures, the campus chancellor or vice
president forwards the proposed name change and rationale to the Office of
the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Bloomington Chancellor.
- After approval, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Bloomington
Chancellor introduces the proposed name change to the Board of Trustees
Agenda Committee (Ad Com).
- Upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the secretary prepares a
transmittal letter for the president's signature. The letter and a copy of
the proposal are sent to the commission as a report item.
