                 THIS YEAR-LONG COURSE (BEGINNING THIS PAST FALL SEMESTER)
                 OFFERS HONORS STUDENTS A CHANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH
                 PROJECTS WITH A STATE AGENCY.   THE FOCUS IS TO DEVELOP
                 PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND PROVIDE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR
                 FUTURE CAREER CONNECTIONS AS STUDENTS APPLY CLASSROOM THEORY
                 TO REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS.  THIS INDIANA LEADERSHIP SEMINAR WILL
                 COMPLETE THE REQUIREMENT OF THE MAJOR CAPSTONE COURSE FOR
                 STUDENTS ENROLLED FOR THE FULL YEAR. PERMISSION WILL
                 AUTOMATICALLY BE POSTED FOR STUDENTS WHO WERE ENROLLED IN THE

                 CLASS, STUDENTS WILL ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY-BASED RESEARCH.

                 OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS  STUDENTS IN THIS CLASS WILL ACTIVELY
                 PARTICIPATE IN THE ANNUAL HOMELESS COUNT, GOING INTO THE
                 COMMUNITY AND ASSISTING IN COUNTING HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS.
                 STUDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED TRAINING BEFORE THE COUNT. THE
                 COUNT WILL TAKE PLACE CONVEENING IN THE THIRD WEEK OF JANUARY
                 2008 AND WILL BEGIN AT APPROXIMATELY 5:00P.M. AND END
                 APPROXIMATELY 11:30P.M. AFTER THE COUNT, STUDENTS WILL
                 VOLUNTEER TOTAL OF 20 HOURS AT A HOMELESS SHELTER AND PREPARE
                 A CASE STUDY DESCRIBING THAT SHELTER.  CLASSES WILL MEET FROM
                 4:00P.M.-5:45 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS AND ARE OPEN TO
                 GRADUATES AND UNDERGRADUATES FROM ALL MAJORS.
                 AS PART OF THE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING REQUIREMENT OF THIS
                 CLASS, STUDENTS WILL ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY-BASED RESEARCH AND
                 IN AN ORGANIZED COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITY.
