When I submit a class I get Errors Found instead of Success! When I click where it says Errors Found this is what it says.

(Explanation of error codes)

Code:Department Consent Required to Enroll in Class, Add Not Processed.
Explanation: The class that you are trying to enroll in requires students to get permission from that department before you enroll.
Solution: In order to get permission to take the class, contact the department associated with the class and ask to be authorized to register for it. For a list of campus departments and phone numbers, visit http://www.iupui.edu/academic/schoolsdepts.htm.

Code: Time Scheduling Conflict for class ##A## and ##B##, not enrolled.
Explanation: The class that you are trying to enroll in is scheduled to be held at the same time and day as a class that is already on your schedule. You cannot be in two places at once!
Solution:Enroll in a class that is held at a different time or day. Or drop the class on your schedule that is conflicting with the class that you are trying to add.

Code:Hold on record, Add not processed.
Explanation: At least one department at IUPUI has placed you on a hold to prevent you from registering for classes. Registration will not be possible until the hold has been released.
Solution: See "I tried to register for classes but OneStart said I have a hold on my record, what do I do now?" in the FAQ .

Code: Maximum term Unit Load exceeded
Explanation: This means that you are trying to register for too many credit hours in one term. Students are allowed to carry a credit hour load of 18 hours in fall and spring and 7 hours each summer session.
Solution: If you are planning to drop another class, do that first. Then add the new class after making sure it is open.

When I try to login to One.IU it tells me Access Denied

Be sure that you are using the correct username and passphrase.
Call the UITS help desk at (317-274-4357) for all One.IU login issues.

NOTE: The registrar’s office is unable to help you with this situation.

The class that I registered for doesn’t show up when I login to Canvas

Be sure that you have registered for the class properly by checking your schedule in One.IU.
(See "How do I view my class schedule in One.IU?" in the FAQ.)
On your schedule the class should say Enrolled. If the class says Waiting then you are not enrolled yet, you are on the waitlist.

After registering for class, students should allow 24 hours for Canvas to be updated.
If after 24 hours the class still does not show up in Canvas, contact the UITS help desk at (317-274-4357) and your instructor.

I’m trying to register for classes but One.IU only shows the previous terms I attended, not the one I’m trying to register for.

There are several different scenarios that could be occurring.

If you do not see the term you are trying to register for, it means you are not currently eligible to enroll for that semester (also referred to as not being 'term activated').

  1. If you are an undergraduate student who has not attended IUPUI for two consecutive terms (with the exception of summer), you must reapply as a returning student through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  2. If you are a graduate, degree-seeking student who has not attended in over 12  months, contact your school or department (Business, Education, etc.) to determine your next steps.  Graduate non-degree seeking student should contact the IUPUI Graduate Office.
  3. If you have been away from IUPUI for less than two terms (undergraduate) or less than 12 months (graduate), contact the IUPUI Office of the Registrar (iupuireg@iupui.edu or 317-274-1519) and request to be ‘term activated’.

Where can I find all of the important dates regarding registration?

Go to this web address: http://registrar.iupui.edu/accal.html and choose a term.

I thought my university ID number was my social security number

Your social security number was used as your university ID at one point in time.
Now you are identified in our student information system with a unique 10 digit number.

(See "How do I find my University ID number in One.IU?" in the FAQ.)

Where is my university ID number located on my Jagtag
