Note: University ID number is the 10 digit randomly assigned number provided to you when you were admitted; it is not your social security number. If you do not know your university ID number, please look in the paragraphs in the box above the place where you are asked for your university ID. On the line that says "Students - you can look up your university ID number here, click on the word "here". Enter the last 4 digits of your social security number and click on submit. This will give you the ID number that you can enter on the previous page.
The first piece of Demographic Information says ID. Next to the word ID is your university ID number. Whenever using your 10 digit university ID number, include the zeros in front.

This is the class number that students will use to register for classes.
When registering you will want to add the lab first, then add the related component (lecture).

Answer
List = A list of your classes.
Weekly = A calendar view of your classes.
Note: If you choose to view the weekly schedule and you have a class that has a start date that is after the regular start date, you will have to adjust the date to at least the day that late start date class begins for that term or else the calendar will appear blank.
(Explanation of error codes)
Code:Department Consent Required to Enroll in Class, Add Not Processed.
Explanation: The class that you are trying to enroll in requires students to get permission from that department before you enroll.
Solution: In order to get permission to take the class,
contact the department associated with the class and ask to be authorized to register for it.

Code: Time Scheduling Conflict for class ##A## and ##B##, not enrolled.
Explanation: The class that you are trying to enroll in is scheduled to be held at the same time and day as a class that is already on your schedule. You cannot be in two places at once!
Solution:Enroll in a class that is held at a different time or day. Or drop the class on your schedule that is conflicting with the class that you are trying to add.
Code:Hold on record, Add not processed.
Explanation: At least one department at IUPUI has placed you on a hold to prevent you from registering for classes. Registration will not be possible until the hold has been released.
Solution: See "I tried to register for
classes but OneStart said I have a hold on my record, what do I do now?"
in the FAQ .
Code: Maximum term Unit Load exceeded
Explanation: This means that you are trying to register for too many credit hours in one term.
Students are allowed to carry a credit hour load of 18 hours in fall and spring and 7 hours each summer session.
Solution: If you are planning to drop
another class, do that first. Then add the new class after making sure it
is
open.
The next page will show details about the hold and provide a method (Phone number or e-mail address) to release the hold.
Note: Students must contact each department on the list and take
action to release each hold before registration will be possible. Allow 24 hours for Bursar holds and Immunization (Meningitis) holds to be released.
Be sure that you are using the correct username and passphrase.

On your schedule the class should say Enrolled.
If the class says Waiting then you are not enrolled yet, you are on the waitlist.
After registering for class, students should allow 24 hours for Oncourse to be updated.
If after 24 hours the class still does not show up in Oncourse, contact the UITS help desk at
(317-274-4357) and your instructor.

Now you are identified in our student information system with a unique 10 digit number.

If your Jagtag was made prior to 2006 it may not have your university ID numbers on it. Jagtags made after Jan. 2006 have the university ID number located towards to the top right corner of the card.
