*Dental students were enrolled in the First Summer 1974 and in the Second Summer 1973.
**Prior to Fall 1975, full-time equivalent for all students was the sum of the full-time students
plus part-time students converted to full-time students. The part-time student conversion was
computed by dividing the total credit hours taken by part-time students by the normal full-time
credit hour load (summer sessions - 6.0 hours for all students; fall or spring semesters - 12.0 credit
hours for undergraduate or professional students and 9.0 credit hours for graduate students.
Effective Fall 1975, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education created a new formula for
calculating FTE. FTE is now defined as the sum of all credit hours taken by undergraduate and
professional students divided by 15.0 plus the total credit hours taken by graduate students divided by 12.0.
