How to get Final Grades

The assigned grade is available in OneStart the day after grades are submitted and the roster is approved.  Typically, students can expect final grade submittal to occur one week after final exams end. There is no final exam week in a summer session. Instead, finals are typically given during the last class meeting. Visit the academic calendar for end of semester term dates.

Students who have not used this system should visit OneStart to get acquainted with IU's online student information transaction environment. From OneStart a student can register for classes, track grades, get a copy of their schedule, view their account statement, and more.

To view your grades from OneStart
  • To access your grades on-line, go to OneStart. Select the Self Service tab and click on My Grades found under Registrar.
  • Please note that your semester and cumulative grade point average will not be available until the grades are officially posted to the transcript on the date listed in the academic calendar.
When grade systems are available
  • The Self-Service tab in OneStart allows students to carry out a variety of tasks related to grades, registration, financial aid, and more. The system is available at all times except:
    • Monday through Saturday, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
    • Sunday, midnight to 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Faculty with questions concerning enrollment status of students on their grade rosters should call (317) 274-1519 during normal office hours.
