Visiting & Non-Degree Students

Visiting and non-degree students are individuals who enroll in classes at IUPUI, but do not plan to complete a degree on our campus. This designation is appropriate for students currently enrolled at another college or university who take courses at IUPUI to transfer back to their home institution. Bachelor degree holders often want to take courses for personal enrichment or as pre-requisites for a graduate degree.

Admissions information for visiting or non-degree seeking students can be found here: http://enroll.iupui.edu/admissions/undergraduate/non-degree/

Fees will be based on whether the student is an undergraduate non-degree or a graduate non-degree student. Tuition/Fees will be based on whether the student is an undergraduate non-degree or a graduate non-degree student. Check with your academic unit to verify which designation is on your record.

  • Undergraduate, non-degree students may register for undergraduate courses only and will be assessed undergraduate level tuition/fees.
  • Students who wish to take a combination of both undergraduate and graduate courses during the same term must be designated as graduate, non-degree students and will be assessed graduate level tuition/fees.
  • Students who wish to take all graduate level classes must be designated as graduate, non-degree students and will be assessed graduate level tuition/fees.
