IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
If you plan to enroll in credit courses at IUPUI, you must be admitted to the University before you may register. Students conduct most of their business with the university through the Web. By activating their university account, students will be able to register, send and receive e-mail through the university, and use Oncourse.
If you haven’t activated your university e-mail account, visit Account Management Service. You can activate your account as soon as you are admitted to the university. Contact the Support Center with any questions.

Meet with your academic advisor and obtain a list of recommended and alternate courses.
Students should review course offerings prior to the start of registration. Each student must assume responsibility for ensuring that he/she knows the academic requirements for the degree being pursued.
During the priority registration period, students are given specific times to register. You can check your time by visiting My Registration Appointment from the Student Self-Service section on the left, on the Services tab in OneStart. You will need to login first, using your user id and password, the same as used for e-mail or Oncourse. You can register at or after your appointment time.
Students registering after the priority period don’t need registration appointments, but must be eligible to register. If you previously attended IUPUI but are not enrolled in the current term and wish to enroll, contact the registration appointment line at 274-1519 on or after the date specified in the academic calendar.
Students who are enrolled on another IU campus or who were last enrolled on another IU campus but did not graduate, should complete the inter-campus transfer form.
Certain courses, such as those marked PERM (permission) or RSTR
(restricted) must be approved by the
department or school offering the course before you register. Visit the authorization link for more information on this and other enrollment
restrictions.
You can see if permissions have
been granted by visiting; My Class Permissions (page 5);from the Student Self-Service section on the left, on the Services tab in OneStart.
All students must read and acknowledge an Immunization Compliance Form that outlines important information about meningitis. If you don’t access and acknowledge this information, a hold will be placed on your record. For more information and instructions on how to comply, click here.
Be sure there are no academic or financial holds that will prevent you from registering.
Some schools or departments may place a hold on your registration until you have
been advised.
You can see if there are any holds on your record by visiting Holds on My
Record from the Student Information box in the Student Self-Service section on the left, on the Services tab in OneStart.
You will register according to an assigned appointment during Priority
Registration or during the Open Registration period. For registration dates,

registration. These are the same as you use to access university e-mail and
Oncourse.
